Quat Artists' Forum

Foyer

This "foyer" is the entrance to three galleries of three different artists who all use the 3d fractal generation program "Quat" to create artistical images.
You get to see three different styles and the different preferences of the artist.

Each artist holds the copyright on his images. I have the friendly permission to display the images here.

Gallery Horst Weber

foto.horstweber@cityweb.de
Horst Weber specializes on the play with light and on variegated coloring. He is also a photographer and a painter. Recently a CD-ROM came out with some of his fractal creations. More of his works are on his website.

Gallery Charles Lips

lips@ihug.co.nz
These images really surprised me. Before I always tried to find objects as much three-dimensional looking as possible. Charles Lips convinced me that flat compositions and detailed views are also quite interesting!
He also participated in the "Fractal Art Contest '99" with some of his images.

Gallery Larry Berlin

lberlin@sonic.net
Larry Berlin is especially interested in the third dimension in stereo view. (The stereo feature of Quat was implemented because of his suggestions.) The images are based on objects of Quat and were edited afterwards. You should look at them using cross eyed view. There are more of his creations on his web page.

If you also have nice images you made with Quat and want to show them on this page, you are welcome to send them to me (dirk.meyer@studbox.uni-stuttgart.de) (ini files preferred - I only have a modem connection to read emails...). Unfortunately I can't guarantee that I can show them here, as my server space is quite exhausted already.
